“City in crisis”

Give Pep and the team a season off, christ they deserve it. Use this season to bring on the young players but importantly get a couple in for January and couple more in Sunmer and be rearing to go next season. After the crazy success of recent years a downbeat, season of recovery is probably not the worst thing for Pep, the team and fans.
You speak for yourself. This is elite sport. Attracting players by competing in the champions league next season is a must. And these young players to bring on - are we hiding some?

Crisis may be a bit of a stretch. But in retrospect, I think many of us and management included got a bit too sentimental when it came to keeping Walker, De Bruyne, Gundogan etc.
I don't think keeping any of them is the issue. The problem is expecting any of them to start 30+ games a season in the league and another 10-20 in other competitions. 34 year-olds are almost always going to be squad players for a top team. You might get the odd one that manages to stay fit enough to still be a starter, but it's rare.

Im actually not that arsed.

Peps made all our dreams come true.

Treble.
Domestic quad.
100 points.
100 goals.
Won everything multiple times.

Absolutely lamped all our rivals at some point home and away:
Rags 6-3 & 0-3
Liverpool 5-0 & 1-4
Arsenal 5-0 & 1-4
Chelsea 6-0 & 1-3

Even the biggest in Europe we’ve smashed.
Real Madrid 4-0
Barcelona 3-1
Bayern 3-0

Last minute winners.
Signing Haaland.
Created a Ballon D’or winner.
Pissing off every other fanbase.

We need some bad times to touch base i think.
I’m a man of a certain age where I’ve seen us at our lowest. We’ve had so many highs I don’t get anywhere near excited now as I once did. Spoilt, maybe?
So a little re-set won’t do any City fan any harm. Take some beatings.
Remember it’s not easy to stay at the top and we have no devine right to win all the time.

We’ll rebuild and get back to where we were. Suppose what I’m saying is embrace the shitness for a bit. Feel it as Pep would say… It’s all part of the never ending journey.
Great post and my thoughts exactly!

I believed we were really in crisis. Thought the press had us relegated to the Europa Conference League until I realized it was Basaksehir v Petrocub (not Dirty Petrolclub)!!

Love this post. Sums up my feelings exactly.

Nothing has been lost yet...we are still in 3 competitions and I believe form can improve as quickly as it has dropped. I remember so many times that City snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and vice versa. Maybe some of the players need to look in the mirror and decide if they really want to be winners but we haven't become a bad team although we are having a very bad run. Hopefully Sunday will be the turning point but one thing is for sure I'll never bet on City or against them. Up the blues...keep the faith.

Spot on
My only wish this season is top four
