“City Matters” fan committee

Ok, I am changing my stance on this, having looked at all the tickets available for various games on different websites it is obvious something is untoward.
We need to try and make sure the questions are asked. I have asked PB a question to which he has not replied yet.
PB has put himself forward as our representative so we need to put pressure on him to ask the questions we want answering. I know you will be reading this PB so I just want to say this is nothing personal.
I look forward to hearing what if anything exactly you (PB) are going to ask at your next meeting.

It's called economics I think. Sell 100 tickets at £50 per ticket to a normal fan = £5,000. Most of them will come to the ground watch the game and go home. Even if the average spend was £5.00 per person that's only another £500. Sell £100 tickets at £300 per ticket via a ticket site = £30,000. Even allowing a site a 25% commission that still leaves £22,500. However this 'fan' is more likely to spend money in the club shop etc and therefore is more valuable to the club especially when he goes home and tells his mates what a great weekend he had in Manchester. Multiply it by however many home games we have and it becomes a nice little earner for the club

Yes, I understand economics and I agree with all you have said. So, going forward we need to put pressure on the club to stop this, whether it works or not is another thing but the club won't like us talking about it on here and the louder we shout, hopefully the more will get done.

Not sure if it has already been asked or if it is on your list of questions to ask at the next CM meeting, if not can you ask the club to investigate how tickets get on touting websites?
The obvious way would be to purchase and trace where they came from. I understand it is probably only a small amount that end up on there but I think it is something that we all agree is wrong, so should be pursued.
I’m certainly intending to ask. Whether I’ll get an answer, or at least one I can make public, is another matter. The other issue is that if the club do this and find someone in the Tunnel Club who pays £30k a year for 2 tickets, for example, has provided them, realistically what are they going to do?

City have 1200 or so die hards...home and awayers who never miss. Every game give or take a few they are there.
That leaves plenty of tickets for everyone else....if the average away allocation 2200
The die hards will be at newcastle on tuesday. The die hards were at liverpool after the cup final when we didnt sell out (city not selling out at anfield is news at 10 stuff imo). The die hards were at reading after the cup final when bobby manc was sacked - probably only 1300 there if that. Norwich away when we took the smaller allocation, add Swansea to that and even arsenal, spuds and Chelsea...again we took the smaller allocation and struggled to sell out....the die hards were there.

The JCL / prawn sandwich wont be at newcastle.

i dont give a flying f*ck what city matters suggest should happen to away ticket allocation....but the moment they, the club and the jcl attack the die hard they can F*CK OFF.

The city web site is slow, clunky and has too many clicks to do things - i.e. the user interface is shite.
Also I would like to know why you cant give your ticket to a friend or family member who has a Citycard attached to your account? It would certainly help with the empty seats midweek for until the M6 and M5 roadworks are finished I'm not even attempting travelling to Manchester for midweek games without having half a day off. A 2 hour journey has become a 4 hour journey there and a 3 to 4 hour journey back as they close the motorway in road works on City match nights.
