Yep, decent guys.
Good and bad in all walks of life. Can honestly say In all my years of going to city have probably spoken to a steward 2 or 3 times.

Ok, I am changing my stance on this, having looked at all the tickets available for various games on different websites it is obvious something is untoward.Money

It's called economics I think. Sell 100 tickets at £50 per ticket to a normal fan = £5,000. Most of them will come to the ground watch the game and go home. Even if the average spend was £5.00 per person that's only another £500. Sell £100 tickets at £300 per ticket via a ticket site = £30,000. Even allowing a site a 25% commission that still leaves £22,500. However this 'fan' is more likely to spend money in the club shop etc and therefore is more valuable to the club especially when he goes home and tells his mates what a great weekend he had in Manchester. Multiply it by however many home games we have and it becomes a nice little earner for the clubOk, I am changing my stance on this, having looked at all the tickets available for various games on different websites it is obvious something is untoward.
We need to try and make sure the questions are asked. I have asked PB a question to which he has not replied yet.
PB has put himself forward as our representative so we need to put pressure on him to ask the questions we want answering. I know you will be reading this PB so I just want to say this is nothing personal.
I look forward to hearing what if anything exactly you (PB) are going to ask at your next meeting.
Yes, I understand economics and I agree with all you have said. So, going forward we need to put pressure on the club to stop this, whether it works or not is another thing but the club won't like us talking about it on here and the louder we shout, hopefully the more will get done. It's called economics I think. I’m certainly intending to ask. Whether I’ll get an answer, or at least one I can make public, is another matter. The other issue is that if the club do this and find someone in the Tunnel Club who pays £30k a year for 2 tickets, for example, has provided them, realistically what are they going to do?Not sure if it has already been asked or if it is on your list of questions to ask at the next CM meeting, if not can you ask the club to investigate how tickets get on touting websites?
The obvious way would be to purchase and trace where they came from. I understand it is probably only a small amount that end up on there but I think it is something that we all agree is wrong, so should be pursued.
