“City Matters” fan committee

I've got a couple of people on my ignore list (that's "loads" apparently) so I don't see their (presumably) malicious & abusive drivel. We didn't find out about the respective allocations until our second full CM meeting. We've already slightly increased the amount as we've got the club to agree the 18-25 tickets will come off the top, rather than from the seasoncard holders allocation. so that's something like an extra 90 tickets going to seasoncard holders overall. And I'd like to get more, as I've said, but it won't define my tenure if we don't. We've more important issues to tackle to be honest that affect all match-going fans. It's been a learning experience for us all so far but we're making progress.

And I'm delighted to say that the minutes have been agreed so should be up shortly.
As the old adage goes Colin "don`t let the bastards grind you down" mate. With the exception of the odd few, most understand the problems when trying to keep one and all satisfied.
They squeal like a wounded pig and come over as me,me,me !!

I'd love to know what "come off the top" means when the current split is as follows:

60% Seasoncard holders
20% Supporters Club
15% Corporate
5% Players/Sponsors

There is no top, no other pot, so this 3% for 18-25 ballot must mean one of the above is reduced. Which bucket??

Or is this just something they've fobbed you off with?
My understanding from previous posts is that the 5% for the 18-25 are coming before the split shown above.
Hence we get 60% of the 95% left.
So Seasoncard allocation has gone down, just not as much as first thought.

However that could easily have been the plan right from the start. If you tell each group they are going to lose 150 tickets, then when the numbers are reduced they think they have a win. Although, in reality, the numbers have gone down still, just not as quickly this time.

I’d still like to know the rationale for this protected group as it hasn’t been forthcoming. There’s plenty of 18-25s at the away games I go to.
Oh, unless it’s a snow Wednesday in Swansea

That was my understanding of it as well , seasoncard allocation down , just not as low as first thought. Maybe someone can throw light on where the extra 90 odd tickets for this group have come from ?
Also by giving this group it’s own allocation they might have 3 options of obtaining tickets through the club , 1) 18-25 group 2) supporters club allocation if they are in one 3) season card allocation .

There’s a separate thread on away tickets mate. Maybe the discussion on that thread this morning will be about the Swansea tickets being available to 100 percent of season card holders.

Btw 18-25 year old season card holders are still season card holders.

I don’t think it’s an additional 90 added, I think it’s 90 that have been rescued by having other groups take up some of the allocation for the 18-25

My mates son is 27, he's pissed off that there's fuck all for his age group. I guess where do you draw the line.

At points?

Also why I asked about the rationale behind this.
I have two who are both 27 and so would t qualify either
That's his gripe, to top it off his brother who is 19 will now be getting a shot at away tickets before him, with hundreds of less games he's attended.

Sorry it's 60 additional for seasoncard holders as a whole as they "lose" 90 but "gain" 150 as the 18-25 group will also be seasoncard holders. If we start with 3000 tickets and we take 150 off the top, that leaves 2850. 60% of that is 1710 but the 150 added back to that makes 1860. And other measures being implemented, which we've got to finally agree & check it's possible to implement, together with longer-term changes to the points system, should mean less tickets are being bought just for the points, which means that more people on the points ladder should have a better chance of getting tickets instead of missing out now. We saw the impact that ID checks had on the CL away games and while no one wants to repeat some of the farces we saw then, I don't think anyone could argue that discouraging people buying tickets they only intend to sell on is a bad thing. Apart from the people doing that of course.

How many points do they have though? They've been going as long as I've known you and probably longer than that. My lad didn't get a season ticket till he was 15 I think and, if he hadn't buggered off the the States 7 years ago and we'd been going to the same number of games we were doing before that, he'd probably have at least 18k points now.
