1 goal lead,are you happy ?

I'm very please we came out with a lead considering the first 40 mins and the final 15. Just wished we had gone for it after the 2nd instead of sitting back.

If someone would of offered me 2-1 before the game i would of took it, some people are being greedy and saying we shouldn't of let them score!

I aint arse licking or complementing united, but they are a top team, a clean sheet tonight would of been an extra bonus, even if we went 1-0 up and we won 2-1, i would still be happy, don't get like the arragant united fans so saying we should of won 3 or 4-0, tonight we played a top team who was set up really well and played a good game, if people was expecting 3 or 4-0's then i'm just shocked.

A win is a win is a win. I understand Mancini. We'll go to the next match with so many options back with an advantage on hand. So no complaints!

i dont like it but its better to have the lead than not. hopefully Ade will be back by then and Ireland will recover;

look how many problems utd caused us in the last 20. we needed all hands to the pump. just one person not tracking back, one person charging forward at the wrong time bringing a couple more with him could have been very costly indeed... that one goal lead puts the onus on utd in the second leg.

2-2 would have been worse than 3-1 would have been better. if you see what I mean. 3-1 would still guarantee nothing. 2-2 would put us in a horrible position of needing to score.

having the goal advantage is priceless to someone like mancini. you'd back us to score meaning they have to score twice. you always fear them from set plays at home but having them come forward to get two goals gives us the opportunity to play some counter attacks without committing more than 3/4 forward.

love the 4-3-2-1 btw, zab is made for it. (must fight temptation to say I called it midweek). 'city have only got 2/3 players forward' they cry. yes, and if they are the right people in the right areas, that's enough to cause serious problems (as in the penalty) whilst still keeping 6/7 back. perfect first leg tactics, it was a shame that we took 20 minutes to find the right pattern.

We shown them to much respect, but I can understand due to injuries and out of form wingers.
Im still nervous and dont know how it will pan out.

But CUMON.

Firstly, what a match! Secondly, we won! Thirdly, what an atmosphere! And fourthly, we outplayed them for a good majority of the match!

If I was offered a 2-1 win as I was stood in the Stadium before kick off with my stomach going crazy I would have jumped at the chance so I am more than happy with the result.

My only concern now is that they have the next leg at Old Trafford and we've seen how their fans can influence the referee at times and I for one am not looking forward to that. However, that said we will have a lot more away fans there than a usual derby so that will help us. I'm hoping that we can get a goal as quick as possible so that we have an away goal and a two goal lead over them and that will do an amazing job to ease my nerves!

Can't believe I have an exam the day after this match, I'll have to get my revision done as early as possible!

Roberto Mancini, you are awesome! Carlos Tevez, you are awesome! Our whole team tonight were brilliant, as were all of the fans who urged them to battle on! I'm just so hyped up right now that I am knackered but I just can't go to sleep!

I'm happy as hell. Would have liked for SWP to knock that one in to make it 3-1, but I'm thrilled anyhow considering we got behind them pretty early at home.

Lots of outstanding efforts out there: Bellers, Carlitos, SWP, Barry, Kompany, De Jong....

oh yeah, Fuck you Gary Nev

I am happy with the result, the only down side is their away goal, but the way they are playing at the moment i can't see them keeping a clean sheet against us at the swamp, so wiping out there goal difference. Knowing city it will probably be 2-1 united at OT, but Shay will win us the penalty shoot-out!!!

Considering the team we had out and the fact we went a goal down, i'm delighted with 2-1.

However, I still think we'll need to score at least once at the swamp to get through as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet.
