10 german bombers song

I went to the Schalke game and spent 2 nights in Dusseldorf and it's fair to say that I had a fantastic time. The vast majority of the City fans on the piss in the Altstadt were well behaved, if a little rowdy. I remember at one point the night before the game, someone was trying to get that song going but thankfully he was drowned out by most of the City fans around him. In short it was a fucking embarrassment to hear someone trying to start it off - we were in a country that for me has some of the friendliest people in the world, had welcomed us with open arms, and encountered no animosity from anyone over the course of the 2 days that I was there - yet here was some prick trying to start that song off.

Some people's conception of German people as a whole is ridiculous - if you believe some fuckwits, you'd think they were all arrogant, unfriendly, and get up at the crack of dawn on holiday in order to nick all the sunbeds. The reality however couldn't be any further from the truth.

The reality, which would probably scare the life out of the kind of fuckwit that sings this song, is that the Germans as a people are about as close as you can get in the world to the English.

And to those of you that are saying it's banter; banter is a two-way thing. I jokingly take the piss out of you, you jokingly take the piss out of me in return. How on earth are the Germans meant to respond to this childish bollocks in a jokey way? In case you don't know, the Germans are deeply embarrassed and even ashamed of their involvement in a war a lifetime ago. How the fuck is singing about such a subject simply "banter"? It'd be like taking the piss out of your mate cos his dad was a serial killer; no normal, right-thinking person would do it.

oh fuck.we must remember to sing it with a" nasty xenophobic slant" on thursday then eh?
haha you are fucking misled ,whatabout when the krauts bring out the "the island monkeys "song then ,are they not having a laugh like us,or are we all strange fuckers then????
stop lecturing ,you sound like god you doughnut!!!

For me, what is so wrong about it is that we're going over to their country, and people will be singing it on their doorstep. You can call it banter if you like but when I was at the Schalke game the one thing that stuck out the most was the friendliness of everyone we met. So why the fuck would you throw that friendliness back in their face and come out with that? It makes no sense whatsoever to me.

And believe you me, I'm no pc-obsessed prude. I'll be the first to admit that I've sung things at matches in the past that on reflection overstepped the boundaries of what is acceptable banter and what can be deemed as offensive.
