And the irony of you saying this thread attracts sad sacks, your a self appointed jack grealish protector , a multi millionaire footballer who will never know you exist, but you've appointed yourself to jump to his defence at every opportunity and call people names when they say words on an internet forum you don't agree with.

He simply has to take more risks, get into dangerous areas and pull his finger out. He has enormous potential but he doesn't give it a proper go.
Just avoiding mistakes is fine when 2-0 up, but when we chase a game he has to turn up with more aggression.
 
There’s a lot of good to his game. He isn’t playing badly. However, there’s just no impact. It’s all well and good fans saying he isn’t there for goals and assists but he is playing wide forward in the best side in the world. I’d say it’s harder for a forward in this team not to score/assist than it is to do so. He never gets his head up and looks for the 1st time pass and he literally ignores off-the-ball runners. You know it’s not good enough when Ake is having a go at him for holding on to the ball too long. Whatever he might say in the media, I can’t believe for one second that Pep is happy with what he is showing out there. Like I said, he isn’t playing badly but not playing badly, isn’t enough.
 
Another just there game for him, not good not bad. Don’t think he has ever had an outstanding performance for us where he stands out, he just has some ok games. He has not had moments of magic for us now. If anyone says they don’t expect more then they are lying I guess he would never be good in the final third.

Exactly he isn’t a negative but he is not benefiting us also. His performances are neutral and anyone who says they don’t expect more is not being truthful. I just don’t think he is good enough in the final third because his numbers at villa were not that good
 
The disappointing thing for me is that even when he tries to make things happen he simply can't do it. There's just no area of his game that is particularly outstanding, he's just ok at a lot of things. I hope he comes good but unfortunately I think his signing will go down as a very expensive failed experiment.

I think he’s just an average player.

Simply not happening for him, nothing to do with effort, just self belief /confidence.

Let's just hope he goes away and has a good WC, otherwise it's going to be a hard winter slog for Jack.
