10 | Jack Grealish - 2022/23 Performances

I thought Jack was excellent...ah well.

Did nothing special, did nothing badly, got kicked a lot with no protection.

He asks to get kicked a lot, that what his game is all about, in our team I don't like it, when he is asking questions and aggressive he is a far better player.

After a run of excellent form he was back to the frustrating Grealish last night.

Was targeted last night,could and should of won a lot more fouls,fall on floor and scream in Europe and it's a guaranteed free kick.

I do get the feeling he's trying too hard,and some things are just not happening,but he has improved a lot in recent weeks,long may it continue.

I don’t feel embarrassed. Telling a miserable arse his opinion is shite is my opinion and seeing it’s an opinion forum I don’t see what the issue is.
What’s embarrassing is seeing your posts on this subject and you’re inability to admit that Jack might not be the waste of space you tagged him as from day one. Not being able to recognise you might be wrong is embarrassing not giving a player credit because of predetermined notion that you refuse to budge from is embarrassing.
Judging him on a game where we went down to 10 men after half hour which in turn made our game plan redundant and meant our focus changed and each players role changed with it is definitely embarrassing.

There you go you almost managed to get 3 sentences out without calling someone names. Now you just need to work on the concept that as much as you are smitten with a player others may still be on the fence. It may assist you if you can grasp that sarcasm is an accepted use of dialogue amongst adults.
Furthermore I'm pretty sure Jack Grealish doesn't read my posts so could not be offended by them ,so he won't really be arsed if you spring to his defence or not.

I’m not smitten, far from it. I just don’t like undeserved criticism.
He’s turned in several match winning performances since he’s been here btw, I’ll just have a quick look now to see if you posted well done on any of them.
Of course I’m going to presume you’re one of those who only count goals as a match winning performance so I won’t be getting my hopes up of finding anything.

im not sure anyone can be singled out in that match, it was such a none event match wise, i really cant think of anyone bar akanji and rodri who would of warranted more than a 5/10 , so why has jack been singled out ?

I thought he was one of our better players yesterday. Not great but then none of them were (and unsurprisingly so under the circumstances).

Because they've had to wait 4 or 5 games to be able to do it recently so clearly been chomping at the bit. Its a tough life hating a player that isn't playing badly.

Far from excellent,but no worse than any of our other midfielders/forwards.Clearly he was under instruction to retain possession and clearly Copenhagen were under instruction to target and rile him.....which the useless ref was happy to allow.

That’s not what a match winning performance is though. That’s playing well in a side that wins. That’s an example of being a cog in a machine.

A matching winning performance is turning it on when the team needs it. He’s been an affective cog on many an occasion. I think we’re all waiting for that game he changes all on his own..

Again, that’s your and others view of what’s expected from him to be classed as a match winner. It’s not mine and seldom does this particular version of City rely on any individual to win a game on their own.
