The guy who first started the rumour is already starting to backtrack. Unless we hear it from an actual journalist, or Pep himself, I'm not concerned.

Grealish basically had no competition in his position last season and foden was boxed out by the formation. this season Foden has gone up a level and is a must pick and doku has been signed as competition and done better than expected, while jack has probably gone a bit backward if we're being honest.

It's not a great situation for him currently, and it'll probably take an injury for him to get back in the team. If that doesn't happen in next few months could be an interesting summer.

I’ve had a feeling though that all is not right behind the scenes with Jack though recently, barely getting near the pitch.

Likely just tactical IMO, with KDB and Haaland out for ages you really need your wingers getting a few more goals and assists to compensate. Jack’s offering is much more valuable when you have those two doing the bits he’s not so good at.

Never quite as simple as that but line ups definitely become easier to guess.

It wouldn’t surprise Grealish being very disappointed to be left out. However, whether he would behave like that is another matter.
