Awesome to have him back training and hopefully available for Saturday,he provides us with something Doku cannot and vice versa......he has been missed.

Definitely. With the games coming thick and fast now, one element we really need is control, whether that's during the game or when the game is (hopefully) won. And Grealish is the man you want playing in that situation, to keep the ball, pass and move and just slow things down to keep everyone fresh and ready for the next challenge. That's not Doku's game yet, he's more likely to try and beat his man and run the ball and his link up play isn't quite there either. He'll get there, but with so many new players trying to establish themselves there's a desire to get goals and assists when we actually need to see out games and save the legs, particularly with so many injured.

And most important I think is defence. Grealish has done an amazing job last season on this helping with all his energy there too returning and covering countless times the left side.

That's what's so good about Jack. When we get pressed high by the opponent, Jack will always track back to offer a passing option in our own half. With other players, it'd be very dangerous because of the intensity of the opponent's press which can lead to losing the ball in our own half of the pitch. Players like Jack and Bernardo are different. Always aware of the danger behind them and never/rarely lose the ball. Their ball retention gives more time for their teammates to move to other zones which opens new passing options and nullify the opponent's press.

Grealish is so important for this team.

His City podcast is well worth a listen.

Confirmed that Pep asked him to play LB against Newcastle (oh but he received so much hate for it…) and more sadly, said how he has deleted Twitter and would rather social media didn’t exist.

If decent players and human beings like Jack say such things then it confirms what a sorry state we’re in as a society.

Some on here could do well to have a listen and reflect on the nonsense they spout.

It is more on Pep. He explained and praised Bernado when he played as a makeshift LB last season. If he treated Grealish in the same way, it would not happen.
