Wasn't even that good in those 3 months, it's just that those were the 3 months when he didn't look completely out of his depth.
He was so much more than that during the 22/23 season. Don't try to rewrite history.
Yep and people come and defend him here because he cost 100 mil and need to justify that fee somehow...all our wingers are without an end product, they can sometimes make things happen ,but they cant score or give that decisive pass.really really hard to win any big titles that way.

Only one assist from those 35 chances. Does sort of imply that they weren't great quality chances.
In all competitions it was 5 goals 8 assists. And that was his best form. Imagine Sterling putting up those numbers? The forum would be calling for him to be sold immediately.

As soon as we paid that extortionate fee we were onto a loser .... I called him Steve Daley Mk2, and bar those 3 months that you mention, nothing has changed my opinion.

He reminds me of Sterling because they were both a split second too long on deciding to shoot or pass too often but there's a big difference between the two. When Sterling got it right he scored and assisted plenty and was a game changer, Grealish has not scored or assisted anywhere near enough and has very rarely been a game changer, that's the difference.
He's played LMF twice recently and it's obvious he isn't good enough. He thinks too slow, runs too slow, his off ball positioning to receive the ball isn't good enough. When he gets the ball he looks to get rid soon as possible playing short easy passes, often backwards. He lacks energy drive and pace (he had when at Villa) His shooting is usually piss poor, that's when he gets in a good enough position to shoot.
He's been underwhelming and average most of the time, especially for a player costing 100M. And mentioning the fee does matter because it's a huge amount to pay for show pony that's failed to live up to expectations.
