10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

The good thing is I do think he'll take up more central positions if he starts with Kev

Kev has been taking up a lot more positions out on the left in the games this season, obviously tactical, maybe he can preserve his legs a bit out there. The left sided player has been interchanging with Kev and drifting more central. That'll suit Jack down to the ground.
That first half against West Ham the combination of Grealish/KDB was superb.

Grealish is a far better play when he comes inside, he is simply not a wide player.

First half how good was he?

The best player on the pitch by a country mile, imagine him in the 10 behind Haaland, instead of the ‘past it’ Kane?

Pep knows best obviously, but food for though and it was only Eire.

Problem is that we have so many players who are deemed out-of-position on the wing. Grealish, Foden, Kev, Bernardo, maybe add Nunes to that. Someone usually ends up out there.

The difference with Grealish is that he is almost never gets a start in the middle, whereas all the others get their turn. Maybe Jack's performance yesterday will help stake a claim.

Lots of games coming up and some old legs that need managing, Grealish will get plenty of minutes and time to shine.

Yeah, no doubt it suits Grealish a lot better. Obviously it was only Ireland but England looked so much better with natural width and pace out wide

Will Pep follow Carsley?
He won't want to be seen to be getting ideas from such a mere novice
I think we’ve seen what Pep will do with Jack this season in the sense he interchanged with KDB as the wide man and number 10.

Not sure we’ll see Jack being a pure 10 with us unless Phil and KDB aren’t available.
