Still not particularly happy about the optics surrounding him sharing to his Instagram that he's made the England squad.

Could be just over-thinking it, but it smells a little more like rubbing someone's nose in it at a time when you've had a disagreement.

If all had been well, I'd have expected Grealish to be a little more modest (may not be the right word), but certainly go under the radar a little more, especially as he's been injured for a few weeks and no one really seems to know what's wrong with him.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him play for England, and this issue with Pep (if there is one) rumbling on for another while until its all put to bed.

Something is wrong, I'm not having it that he's genuinely injured and that Pep is fully onboard with the situation, which he should be given that he's the man in charge.

No one said 15 mins in the gym.

Pep said "a few minutes".

No Carsley said specifically FA did contact club medical team. And national team coaches are not required to communicate with every club coach. Their medical team contacts the club medical team for reports that is all.

Some managers have personal relationships and talk to each other. But you cannot expect every national coach talk to all club coaches for every camp...they will have no time training.

City medical team should brief Pep team though.
Are you a grealish fanboy or an england apologist ?

And if he wants to win back his England spot he is better served getting back fit and playing regularly for City. Tommy Tuchel won't give a fuck about what he does in a friendly under a different manager.
Exactly. When he is sat on the bench for the next 3 months he won’t be getting selected at all. This seems an incredibly stupid decision by Grealish but there may be more to it. If it’s a fall out then I suppose he thinks “fuck it”

I think his time will very quickly come to an end with us if Pep stays.

To be honest Nunes has played no worse than Grealish does in that position and Doku will probably be the choice when fit for many of the game so I’m not sure what purpose he will serve anyway going forward as Pep clearly doesn’t rate him for any other position.

I understand that but pinnacle of playing for England is a bit extreme, well in my eyes it is,

It really isn’t, it’s what most players think

The state of the Country when England play…its massive. Like a fucking Royal Wedding or something.

What!? Fuck me, lol. Yeah, the country stops for a nations league game. Pmsl.

Players are just collecting caps because it looks good on their CV's, nation league games are just friendlies really and pointless ones at that.

Maybe top footballers can't be arsed with club football now it seems unless it has some international profile, it's about time their pay packet reflected that.

Exactly. It’s not like it’s a World Cup qualifier, and also we’ve got a new manager taking over England in the new year so it’s not like Jack has got to impress anyone as of yet.

He's quite clearly prepared to burn his bridges with Pep, which consequently makes me believe there’s more to this than meets the eye.

What's gone under the radar a little bit, is how Nunes has some traits similar to what Grealish gives us.

I'm not for a minute saying I'd rather have him in the side over Jack, but you can give him the ball out there on the left, and he has the ability to keep the control that Jack gives us, as he's not naturally the winger type, who will play high risk ie Doku/Savinho.

He actually also gives more of a goal threat, and has had a few assists, and should probably have had a couple more.

Not saying one over the other, but Nunes gives us a bit of what Jack does, but with the additional bits that Jack struggles with.

I'm a big fan of Jack btw, so certainly not having a pop at him.

Usually I'd agree but we are in a special circumstance. Pep needs as many players as possible staying here during the break so we can get our heads back together after this horror run of games every 3 days and endless injuries and work out a system that doesn't depend on Rodri.
Yeah, I do think we're in pretty unique circumstances so you're probably right

Having seen Pep’s reaction and how angry he clearly is I reckon Jack’s done here if Pep extends.
Honestly I wouldn’t be too bothered whether he goes either way.
That’s not a reaction to this call up, that’s cos as much as I like Jack and the control he offers us, he just doesn’t get enough assists or goals.
That was fine and dandy when the rest of the team were scoring, but now it’s becoming a concern.
Jack doesn’t score enough, Doku doesn’t really score, though he offers a threat and teams double up on him which should create space for others.
Gundogan used to chip in with important goals but now doesn’t look like he’s getting any either.
Bernardo recently doesn’t look like scoring.
Savinho hasn’t scored though he looks the most likely goal scorer out of the ones I’ve mentioned and has been unlucky so far not to get on the score sheet on at least a few occasions.
Kev and Rodri being injured has cost us some important goals and the threat they bring.
One of the biggest problems we have right now is the lack of goal scorers in the team.
Opposition simply mark Haaland out of the game and know we don’t offer enough of a goal threat anywhere else on the pitch.
If it wasn’t for Gvardiol and Stones scoring some important goals recently we’d be in deeper trouble.
Time to get back to scoring goals all across the team.
We need our fear factor back.

It really isn't unless it's a knockout game at the Euros/WC.
The rest of the time most English people don't give a flying fuck - don't let the media coverage of people throwing beer around every 2 years cloud things
