This is just the story of our season.

Player comes back from fitness, finds some form, then gets injured.

Exact same thing happened to Doku on LW as well.

And obviously to the numerous defenders.
 
He's going to properly break down in his 30's Rooney style. No renewals, get him gone this summer.
 
I just see him walking and looking quite sober. Followed by 2 other people who also look sober. Am I missing something?

Grealish frustrates me on the wing more often than not but I think Pep is responsible for a load of that.

If Grealish goes then fair enough but he seems decent guy from what I can tell.
 
Injured on the Tuesday night and out in London on the Wednesday night...on the one hand maybe there was nothing the medical team needed him in for, but just optically it is a bit ?

He's literally just gone out for a meal at a hotel in London with a couple of friends. He's allowed to go outside ffs. Shame on you for falling for the Mail's tabloid nonsense. Rodri went out and got bladdered six days before the FA Cup final last season - should we blame that for his knee injury?

I work for a different newspaper under the same parent company that owns the Mail and you wouldn't believe how many legal complaints get brought forward every single day over stories like this Grealish one. Where nothing's actually happened, they've just been harassed by lowlife paps and the reporter has to spin it into something to justify their time.

Splash News, who got the photos of him, are literally just jobbing chancers who hang around known expensive hotels/restaurants waiting for literally anyone to come out and then they sell the photos to papers for £100 each. I've actually seen some go for £500 and up depending on the celebrity and the story.

As someone who works adjacent to the showbiz gossip industry (thankfully not in it), "getting cosy" is a deliberately vague term reporters use all the time to spice up a nondescript event. Two people could be sat on opposite sides of the same table in a bar, but if they even so much as speak to each other it's them "getting cosy".

This isn't a story. It's literally just a footballer going out in the evening with his mate on a day off (and presumably his mate's girlfriend). Footballers are allowed to do this - Grealish won't be doing anything the club/Pep haven't sanctioned.

The reason these stories keep getting published is because people like you start frothing at the mouth over them.

Yeah the headline here is really "Man Leaves House".

I'll make no claims for what he was and wasn't doing - not much would surprise me for how any footballer spends his social life - but the pictures aren't incriminating.

It’s a function of our success of recent years and the high profile of our players.

No one saw paparazzi photos of Martin Buster Phillips in a tabloid because no fucker knew who he was.

Grealish, Haaland and others in our side will have these low life photographers following them around all day, regardless of what they’re up to.
 
Seeing a lot of blue-tick City fans on Twitter - who run blogs and podcasts and the like - getting on Grealish's back over him going out for a meal. Bear in mind Grealish's girlfriend and their baby are both based in London a lot, which is likely to be why he was down there in the first place.

Funny how everything the media writes about City is apparently bullshit until it suits the agenda against Grealish. Sad to see so many people turning on one of our own at a time when the fans should be dismissing these stories as a deliberate attempt to sow discord among the City ranks.

Agree, there is a cohort on Twitter who are out to get him and also other players like Rico etc. They’ve got their agenda and they will go out of their way to find “evidence” that fits it.

This is an absolute non-story I’d never have picked up if it wasn’t for them as I don’t follow or click on tabloid scum.

Man Leaves Restaurant the Night Before His Day Off is not news.

Jack’s family live at home in Cheshire not London but that said, what does it even matter? All the players had yesterday off and I’d like to think they all went out for a nice dinner on Wednesday night wherever it may be. Chiltern Firehouse is hardly wild. Just another upmarket London restaurant that “‘slebs” often go to, hence the low-life paps who camp out in all hours outside.

If any City fan is frothing at the mouth over this they are either a) not particularly bright or b) just out and out dislike Grealish and will look for any reason to paint him as a degenerate.
 
It’s probably better that he goes out to eat.

He’d be out with food poisoning all the time as he probably can’t even spell cooker, let alone use one.

His missus likes London, hence down there a lot, but they def live in Cheshire about 7 miles from me. The media are shi& stirring. I hope Jack is OK, not a lot of luck injury wise lately.

How strange. I was under the impression he was doing late night fitness work in the hotel (I’m sure that blonde women is a nurse right?) before spending the evening doing the night feeds so his wife can get a rest. After all Jack is just such a great guy.

To be fair it’s very well known in medical circles that the best cure for a injury is to go down to London for the night, have a few drinks before having a cosy night with some random blonde women.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think I’ve seen Dias out and about at midnight looking pissed whilst rehabbing any of his injuries?

If Jack was out having a meal with his girlfriend no one would care nor would the media photograph him as it would be a non story.
