I was surprised that Ake did not start today. TBH. He clearly gave more confidence to the wingers ahead of him, no matter Raz or Jack.

No disrespect to Josko but I see him more like a pure center back. Not enough support for the wingers, defensively or offensively. Ake at least offers enough cover and good width, and occasionally offers something forward. I wonder if we can see both of them start and Ake wide.
Yeah Josko was caught sleeping a few times today, generally he’s been fine though. Not a bad start.

Only because we win everything. After Pep goes, it might have a different vibe!

City fans have always given youth a chance though. It’s all we had for decades!
Hmm. Pity Swales didn't give our youth a chance they deserved. And i only mention that because he fucked up what could have been something so exciting.

The Michael Hughes sale still pisses me off. Mostly because it was the first time I was old enough to realise that we’d sold a talent unnecessarily.

I was probably 11 or 12, but it was the first time I felt anger towards Swales.

There’s probably a thread in pinpointing when you were first pissed off by Swales.

Mate, I'd be writing a very long post every time Swales pissed me off! He made so many bad decisions during his tenure, so much so that the scars are still visible, even to this day.

That’s why it should be the first moment he pissed you off. Everyone would have a certain moment.

I was fortunate that my story was late on in his ownership.

I realised Swales was a **** soon as Luton relegated us in 83 but he had his meddling moments before then. Thinking back to that era is like reliving a bad dream, and I'd rather not.

Was gutted by that sale. Thought he had a lot of potential. Being originally from Northern Ireland too, I was very disappointed by his sale. That late 80s to mid 90s we lost some pretty decent young talent from the club that could have had good/long careers with us Hughes, Lennon, Lomas, Flitcroft (don’t think this was on Swales though).

Why are people saying he didn't track back during the goal? He sprinted back, it's just that gvardiol got nutmegged so coufal got a massive headstart by gambling.. these things happen all the time. Really stupid to say he "strolled"

Excellent performance overall.

His touch and chase back for their goal were bobbins, there was also another chase back in the second half that was very half-hearted.

Other than that he was a huge threat. Coufal is a good defender and he had him all over the shop.

Much like Kyle Walker with his mistake for SheffUtd’s goal, he made up for it afterwards.

Pep needs to keep playing him while he’s buzzing with confidence! Only young so fitness shouldn’t be an issue currently

Kid looks really good. 1v1 machine. Dangerous cutting in on the right, dangerous cutting out to the left. Gave Coufal a torrid time that they had to double up on him.

Unlucky he didn't get an assist. Can't wait to see more of him.

Has anyone come across a clip of Doku scoring , with the camera behind him?

The goal looks like it was squeezed through the smallest window, which that camera angle would show perfectly.
