Fair play, you must have got on the beer really early. Skinning people for fun putting some really dangerous balls across with his weak foot. No end product you say? Yeah, he only put 2 on a plate for Haaland and particularly Alvarez. If they’d scored would you think he had end product!

Must work on the consistency of his first touch. Too often he is wasting the first seconds getting it back under control and that gives his opponent time to recover. It’s an odd sensation. We’ve gone from having Mahrez, who had the touch of a mother with her newborn- and the pace of the same, to Doku, who would leave Bolt at the blocks but sometimes has the first touch of a navvy in hobnails.

Yep. Needs to show us he can play as a CB and defend perfectly well, score goals and most importantly he needs to take over the goalkeeping role from Eddy. Then and only then would i be convinced...but then again, I'm not really sure if that would still be enough for me.

Maybe you should compare him to a player who is still here, like Jack, who never beats his defender.
No better first touch than Mahrez. But he's not a City player.

I do love Jack.

Played well today, not sure what the criticism is about - he's a winger, things don't always come off. He didn’t let that bother him and set up good chances.

Blew hot and cold but it's important to remember he's only 21. I said in the pregame thread, I'd love to see him on the right, Grealish on the left, and Foden between them.

Seen him play better but he was still great. Was only ever going to create anything through him today. Laid it on a plate for others more than once, couldn't really do much more. don't agree he was motm though, that was Bernardo as per usual against these but by far our best forward threat.

I thought he was very good again for the third home game on the bounce. I think we need to find another role for Grealish to play as he is going to struggle to start many games on that side when Doku plays as well as this.

Say what you want, but with Grealish we won the treble and that wasn't a coincidence.

In these games, controlling the tempo and "High IQ" playing style is more important, than excellent 1vs1 performances, which unfortunately in the end - aren't converted into the goals..

Especially when KDB returns..

Imagine 32 years old KDB, playing 90 minutes in this kind of high tempo game..

We need to be more calmer, more patient, more cold-blooded...

Run run run, dribble dribble dribble and what's the result ? 0 goal contributions..

I mean I like Doku as a Mahrez replacement, but Grealish ? Nope

Cause - we won the fucking treble with Jack..

Hence, Jack is the best.

Bernie feeding Doku was brilliant. For me Doku is the starter over Grealish.
