The pace on the lad is frightening, sort out his defensive responsibilities and he’s prefect for us.

He's a player. The pace and skill is what catches the eye but I've been very happy with his work rate, can't wait to see what Pep does with him
 
He's alright isn't he? Must be frightening to defend against. They double up on him about 60 minutes in and then he took it past two and got blocked by a third West Ham defender. He is a very exciting player. Hopefully puts the whole Cole Palmer thing into perspctive.
 
Still a bit rusty when it comes to fitting into our system, thought we conceded a lot of control in his area of the pitch, but that's totally fine - he's been here two minutes. He made up for it today with some great individual work with the ball. And what a goal. Nice introduction to the team.

Another time they doubled up on him he found Gvardiol with a sharp pass inside, who'd ran into the gap left behind them. That was when Haaland should've scored from the resulting cross to the back post.
 
This lad is a breath of fresh air, a real livewire who will give plenty of full backs a torrid game this season.

Great to see a pacy winger in the side and you can see why we were comfortable in letting Palmer leave.

But besides that really positive, I must say I am impressed. Can go left can go right.
Can score, beats a man. Puts in some good balls. He is really direct. Lots and lots of potential. Under Peps tutelage, in a year or 2 could be something very special.

Any winger that only gets caught in possession twice his game is a bloody good winger.

Let’s be honest he got caught in possession once. The goal was just a shite touch, nothing to do with taking risks. Joy to watch

This. Just looked away too quickly. Let's not frame it as a risk of playing him or owt. A poor touch leading to a big chance has happened to Rodri this season already too! It's normal.
