Opposite to Jack?Didn’t think it was a great move to put him on and whilst he chased hard, he gave the ball away with most touches allowing transitions for Brentford.
One really good pull back for Kev though.
I did, really positive sub he was about to make whilst still 2-1. Attack attack attackDidn’t think it was a great move to put him on and whilst he chased hard, he gave the ball away with most touches allowing transitions for Brentford.

I feel thats a bit harsh. From memory, there were a few low crosses that beat the first man that could easily have been tapped in at the near post but were eventually cleared. I thought he had a good game, just was unlucky with the conversion of his chancesHe was very good up until the decisive action. It’s becoming a common theme. His cross completion stats must make for really poor reading. Love watching him go past his full back but his end product needs serious work.
In compiling the cross completion stats, don’t forget to factor in the number of times Doku beat his man and delivered a ball which was cleared off or intercepted because the incoming attacker couldn’t get to the ball ahead of the defending player. He was very good up until the decisive action. So youre saying dony count his incompleted crosses as incomplete? Navas had better cross CompletionIn compiling the cross completion stats, don’t forget to factor in the number of times Doku beat his man and delivered a ball which was cleared off or intercepted because the incoming attacker couldn’t get to the ball ahead of the defending player.
No I never said people shouldn’t count his uncompleted crosses. I’m saying how many of those so called uncompleted crosses are because the attacker wasn’t sharp enough. Except you’re insinuating that every ball Doku delivers to the box that get’s intercepted by a defending player is on Doku?So youre saying dony count his incompleted crosses as incomplete? Now this is a more constructive criticism that I can agree to. This guy always has multiple people on him and he manages to get past but there is not enough support centrally. Do people want him to assist a goal and also be on the end of the assist to finish it off? He was one of the few people doing anything positive in that four first half and what we mostly see is abuses and criticism. He was the only bright spark in a dour first half. Everton had 2 or 3 men around him with little space to get in behind them. The nearest City player was always behind him or the wrong side of 2 defenders. He needs to make better use of the trickery he has to run into the box and draw penalties.
