11 | Jeremy Doku - 2024/25

It's pretty clear that he frightens the bejaysus out of full backs. Slovan were the first team not to have doubled up on him and having just seen the highlights it's clear that he had a major contribution last night.
Remember the 2-1 game against the dippers where Stones made the goal line clearance ? That's the type of game for Doku to shine, those type of matches where both teams come out to fight for that 3 points to take you to the top of the table, those games where a draw wouldn't be enough. In those type of matches, every player has to handle his responsibility by himself, no helping hand, no doubling up on a winger like Doku.

He needs to roam more instead of being glued to the wing, and play with more energy. He's not looking to score a goal unless its off the dribble. Having a winger who is not a goalscoring threat is a problem.

He was excellent in the first half. Faded a bit in the second half, but still our best player on the night.

I thought he was arguably our best player too. I'm convinced some City fans on social media were watching a completely different game to me. He was by far our biggest threat, particularly in the first half.

I still think he's a work in progress and whether he will be the answer in the future for us remains to be seen. Needs to improve his final product enormously.

Last night was the first time I’ve felt a bit frustrated watching him. Usually I don’t mind him losing the ball because he’s trying to make things happen when he gets it. But when he gets it over and over and over again without too much end product, it was frustrating.

Love the guy, though.

Don't think he's Got What It Takes but he's a handy squad player. Wouldn't mind if we sold him or kept him in the summer. We could do better but he's also alright at what he does. Amazing on good days, pretty hard to watch on bad ones. No real opinion on him anymore.
