Was great yesterday needs to build on it now and have a run of games at the same level
Biggest problem could be getting the run of games. He’s a right to be pissed off if he doesn’t start Wednesday after his last 2 performances. Doubt he will though as Savinho has also been very good lately. With the new signing to come in we’re suddenly spoilt for choice on the left.

Id be playing both on form at the moment. Think Doku can be pretty effective on the right aswell and I'm pretty sick of Bernie at the moment he's offering nowt lately.

I'd be much more inclined to give Omar Marmoush a start as soon as Pep feels he's able. Our wing play this year has been hit-or-miss at best. We need a much more consistent, high caliber winger - and hopefully Marmoush fits the bill.

Whole team has been below par all season. The 2 young wingers haven’t been our main issue and both have been very good lately as the team has improved

I think he could be too but Foden has to stay there at the moment now he’s found his shooting boots again

I think you're conflating a drop in form from world class players - Haaland, KDB, Foden - with the hit-and-miss performances from on-the-fringe players trying to break into our squad (Doku, Savinho, Gvardiol).

The difference being - that the world class players we have are consistently excellent - whereas many trying to break into our side - have been hit and miss throughout with no consistent spell of excellence.

Doku was my MOtM this last game. Next game, should he start, who knows? I've no confidence yet in his ability to consistently deliver high quality play.

Excellent, more efficient than he usually is. Not as much runs at the defender, but mostly made something happen when he gets ball. Connected very well with Kev on the left.

It's a good response to Savio's recent form.

Doku and Savio getting better every game. Much more awareness of the players around them and better decision-making. Well done to our coaches I think. They are looking like lethal wingers. Long May it last.

He was motm in his last start too and Savinho has been very good. You’ll do well to find consistent wingers at their age but both are progressing very well

Lets agree to disagree. Over the course of the season - as a whole - and for Doku last season as well - the overall play of Doku, Savinho and Gvardiol has been disappointing. At times very good - even MoTM - at other times, awful. It remains to be seen if any of them will be in our squad long term.

Meanwhile, we have another promising youngster, Omar Marmoush. I'd for sure give him a few starts in a row to gauge his ability in the P/L (I'm guessing that Pep will play him on the wing but he might start in a 442 alongside Haaland, or as the #9 if we decide to give Haaland a rest).

The best thing yesterday was how we kept at it and worked out a way to punish Ipswich. Started a bit sluggish and Doku was doubled up on and didn't have much room to navigate but Josko and De Bruyne started to move into the space and Ipswich then had to drop off a bit and Doku took them to pieces. He kept it safe when he needed to but always kept them guessing, beating them inside or out.

One of my favourites since he arrived. Always thought he was a big one for the future so I’m pleased he’s weathered the storm from a number of Bluemoon knockers and is starting to win people round.

He’s young enough to still learn plenty and one thing he appears to be taking on board is creating for others. That’s not just down to him though; we’ve seen much better movement ahead/alongside him these last two or three games.

While I’ve never been a Grealish troll, surely we are now moving away from laboured transition and aimless possession towards greater speed and incision, in which case I fearJack will continue to slip down the queue for starting slots.
