Doku was the game changer here. (Keane aswell) - came on and instantly increased the tempo - the ball stuck to him like a magnet- defenders were scared of him - got us up the pitch every time. Our best winger at the club I have no doubts.

Well done. Savinho on the left with no Haaland to cross to was really stupid by Pep.

We have to play a ground game and Doku is way better.

Good cameo, the problem is he can start the next game and look as poor as Savinho did, we need consistency from our wingers.

Completely changed the game, beat his man constantly and created numerous chances in the short time he was on. Exactly what we needed.

I love how strong he's become, it's impossible to knock him off the ball, I wish some of our other players would take a leaf from his book in that regard. He's also suddenly become brilliant at using that strength to win the ball back too. He's our best presser that isn't a defender, and saying that last summer would have resulted in me having a psychological evaluation.

I really don't understand him lately. Just too many obviously nad decisions lately :(

Regardless of these little cameos (influential today but crap at Old Trafford) he's got to improve his overall contribution to our goals and assists, because ultimately that's how he'll be judged.

Out of all his flaws, this is the one that pisses me off the most and what makes his output suffer a lot. What the hell are you doing there??? He's always sooooo late to arrive in the box. Whenever the other side is cooking something, or even the middle like in this case, hes just jogging and ballwatching way behind. Make the run and get your ass in the box early to have an easy opportunity to score. How the hell has not Pep fixed this yet. smh

He's lazy and has zero game intelligence.

Bit harsh but kinda true. At the same time this in particular should be easily coached out of him. And at the same time, hes uniquely gifted with athleticism and skill. He has also shown that he has general intelligence from the way he talks and willingness to learn. He has to be able to put it together.

I don’t think you can teach that. It’s natural instinct, you either have it or don’t.

I don’t think he’s lazy, as his pressing/tracking back have both improved a ton this season

He just seems like a player who has always been by far the most skillful in the team at every age group and so was just given the ball and expected to do something with it. He’s very poor off the ball for a player at this level of the game

And this is why, whilst Sterling was not the best technically, he is was an intelligent winger. He would have been running in behind number 15 now.
