I simply cannot fathom why anybody, literally anybody, would want this guy to leave our football club.
One word I am thinking for his introduction was impetus.Raised everyone's game when he came on. Catalyst for the win imo
I know his country is in ruins, but what a lucky fucker.
Jim, I've watched him play for his country a few times, and he has a lot more skill than we often get to see from him, I suspect that is because he's under orders from Pep to be more conservative, and you don't get into Pep's team, if you don't do what you are told. Can't fault the guy's attitude. Is he as gifted as Kev, or Phil, or Bernie, Raheem or Riyad? Of course he isn't. But his introduction yesterday was a catalyst. Watching Rodri's goal again today, with the emotion of yesterday having subsided, it was a fantastic bit of skill by Zinch to set it up. An outrageous, exaggerated stepover, but it left his opponent (Cash?) for dead. And those scenes after the presentation, with him weeping as the Ukrainian flag was draped on the PL trophy would get to anyone's heart.
Never watched him play for his country, so I'll bow to your greater knowledge C. I suppose he might get to fill that role as a squad midfielder now that Fern has gone.Jim, I've watched him play for his country a few times, and he has a lot more skill than we often get to see from him, I suspect that is because he's under orders from Pep to be more conservative, and you don't get into Pep's team, if you don't do what you are told.
He's not a full back, he's a midfielder, and good at attacking, I wonder with Fern going if we might see him transform into this at City now ?
