That's about you, not about him though ;)
He was cold as ice.
He’s not great with his feet, certainly compared to Ederson. He’s at least one level below Bravo too.

This is the good thing about him getting game time though. The team looked liked they’d adapted to play with him rather than Ederson, certainly compared to Arsenal and then less so Chelsea. Offering him shorter passes. Nothing challenging him to really play through the lines. Keep the ball rather than create.

He looks the real deal to me. Good shot stopper and good with his feet. How old is he? He might want a move in the summer if we aren’t careful because if he’s as young as he looks he is ready to become a number one.

Assured performance but I didn’t feel too comfortable and wanted him to boot it up the pitch. think I had too many pre match.

As far as backups go looks ok so far.

Would you be happier with him or Bravo?
I’ll give him some time to adapt, and the team around him, before deciding. After his first season, as a cup Keeper, Bravo was excellent.

What’s telling though, watching Steffen, is how important it is that in our current team that we have a keeper that can play out with his feet. Guardiola got huge levels of stick for ditching Hart, but you can see why playing out, even if it’s challenging, is so important in our team. It becomes so obvious when Ederson is taken out.

Steffen certainly has the right stature. Let’s see how he develops over the next few months. If he’s not quite right we’ll sell him for circa £8-10m and get another guy better suited.

I don't know yet. Bravo put in a lot of vital performances as the no2 after Ederson came in. And he was one of the best passing goalkeepers around.

Steffen could become a real talent though. He's probably never been exposed to coaching of this standard so he could really step up. As long as he works hard to improve his passing game as much as he can and does the rest of the goalkeeping part well then we're on to a winner. The team can always adapt to him with passing related issues.

It was clear from the Arsenal game that he's already learning to become a strong sweeper.

Another similar thing I'd like to say about passing. With hard work and City coaching there's no reason he can't hit Alisson's level (which I find highly overrated by most) in this regard. A keeper with good passing skills without being elite on that front. If players like Otamendi, Delph, and Walker can make huge strides under Pep with passing then it's not beyond anyone.

for first 2 games in a long while being Chelsea and Rags and to do a good job is all we can ask. Made a particularly good save tonight too, and Dias and Stones have just carried on with the same confidence as if it's Eddie behind them.
