Think he looks a bit more assured with the ball at his feet each time I see him play. Or maybe it's I feel more assured the more I see him. Ederson's ability is outrageous and he has big shoes to fill when he steps in and I think the fans can project their own nerves about it onto him.
I'm pretty confident his shot stopping is good enough as he arrived with a great reputation from the states. Pretty happy so far.

He seems good enough with the simple short passing. His longer passes to the full backs are weak but it’s really not easy to have a backup keeper that can nail them. Most keepers these days that can pass will be first choice somewhere. What I love about him is his personality. Seems well-liked, and is another vocal voice back there. A good understudy and I’m glad we have him. He’s no Ederson but we can’t reasonably expect him to be either.

Looked a bit calmer on the ball last night. Obviously not got the long range passing of Ederson, some of his clearances last night were poor, but he seemed less panicked with his short passing last night even when he was pressed.

This 'concern' about his passing is in danger of getting out of hand.He is plenty good enough with his distribution, certainly no worse than 90% of keepers in our league.
Comparing that part of his game to Ederson is grossly unfair,as no other keeper comes close.

We have a cracking no.2,hopefully he will be content at being such.

Not going to act like he's better than Ederson or anything, because Ederson is one of the top 3-5 GKs in the world, but it is nice to see him come in and look like a solid number two. Being that he's the first American to play for City since DeMarcus Beasley, it's nice that he's come in and looked solid thus far. I think its best for his career long-term to be a number one elsewhere eventually, but this experience will surely be good for his development.

I'd let Steffen stay in the side when Ederson is fit. He's done nothing wrong to deserve being dropped.
Not a chance Pep won’t recall Ederson. Zack has done just fine and is a solid and reliable keeper when called on but Eddie is a freak of nature who is redefining goalkeeping and fundamental to our play
