I just don't get why people are so desperate to draw a conclusion on a player based off their first handful of appearances for us. I reckon he's been alright, not perfect but neat enough. And I like that he's very vocal.
His distribution is never going to come close to Ederson's but there's no shame in that. As long as he falls more into the Willy Caballero category of actually trying rather than the Joe Hart category of ignoring instructions and launching it as far as he can then I'm happy with him.
That back pass against Chelsea might have been silly but, in fairness, from where he was it probably looked like a 50/50 that Rodri won, rather than a back pass. Even the referee didn't really notice until the Chelsea players and staff started screeching.
Is it too much to ask that we don't all pretend were fucking super scouts and write off our second choice keeper after 5 low key appearances?
Also, it's nice to have an American in the team who hasn't brought us loads of short term US fans telling us that Ederson is useless and needs to be dropped. Pretty much any outfield player they have gets hyped beyond belief.
