If he leaves, do we need a new CB?

I don't really rate Ake, never have. I can't say I would be overly keen on going into a new season with him as 3rd choice. That scenario has a Stones or Dias injury in the 1st month written all over it.
 
He didn't play in any of our last 3 games. While Ake and Garcia did. He also won't start in the CL final. Would be very surprised if he stayed.
 
Nah he won't be moving on this season. There seems to be no indication he wants to leave.

I just don’t understand why Pep would pick Garcia ahead of him, or even Aké for that matter. Maybe he wasn’t fully fit. Either way, Laporte needs to be here next season.

Can only assume Pep wanted to keep the back line together in the run up to the CL final. Laporte could never have come on to play at RB. Garcia got on by virtue of being right footed.

I thought he’d looked happier recently (after the Carabao and title were confirmed particularly), hope he stays.
