O’Reilly looks better and more confident on the ball than him, and much more mobile and aggressive, and he’s only played a handful of games at senior level.Got a lot of improving to do. He's currently very slow in everything he does. Not just his pace or lack of, but his passing is too slow, takes too many touches, decision making isn't sharp enough, he opens himself up to being robbed too often. for somebody as big as him, he seems really lightweight too and struggles to withstand contact.
I'm fully aware that Rodri took 18 months to get it, he will get the time he needs to adjust, i dont have any reason to doibt he will get it but i'm not seeing why people are suggesting he was excellent today. We were much better both with and without the ball when kovacic replaced him imo.
I thought he did very little yesterday and similar to yourself I can’t see why people would think he had a good game, because he didn’t.
