You should have watched the game, it was a good one.
I did watch the game and for the first 10-15 min we looked good. The CBs and walker were excellent.

The rest of the match we were largely on the back foot against a well organised team.

Cancelo was caught out of position a few times but did ok.

Kev was caught in the midfield a lot when we tried to break.

Sterling took his goal well but was very frustrating to watch especially when he slowed down the counter.

Rodri was his usually self. Slow and laboured. He was caught in possession and against a better team we would of been punished. My opinion of him has changed completely. At first I thought we found a genuinely talented dm but he is not good enough for a pivotal role in this team.

FFS did he usual step over and blast high.

Bernie ran his heart out and played well apart from his weak shot.

Torres anonymous.

Gundo was ok but the midfield is a problem.

Again not the worst we have performed however the attack is nowhere near good enough.

Yikes. I really like the guy and want him to succeed but I just don't see him taking some big leap. He's good, we need better. He can be a great squad player but we need someone quicker on and off the ball and with an eye for pass. A peak Yaya will do.
Key is here.

Think he did well 2nd half today, but we still do need someone better.

Thought Rodri had a decent game today against Saints , ive been his biggest critic recently but fair play he broke up Southamptons midfield and their superstar Ward - Prowse never got a kick and stood up to dirty bastard Romelu very well , his hard work gave Gundogan more freedom.

he was dog shit mate.

Gundogan seems to have finally got his groove and we’re seeing Dortmund tempo Gundogan for the first time in a long, long time.

Rodri literally does nothing to affect our opponents. He’s not covering, not pressing, not passing through them. We need to acknowledge fast we’ve bought very badly and offload.

I'm at a loss for words that he's getting dragged through the mud and Mr. Bollockless Gundogan is being lifted up on shoulders.

Turns like a brick. Probably one of the reason why we were so shit in Defence. Saints just ran thru him.
