I would not mind either in the final - they're both great players. Zin, Dias, Stones, Walker, Rodri/Fern, Phil, Gundo, KDB, Mahrez and Bernardo, for me.

A month ago I would have said Rodri is nailed on and would have been very happy with that but after his last few performances and Ferna's excellent PSG performance it gives Pep a headache!

I’m not surprised Fern is expected to start in the final. I want him to. Even when Rodri’s on his game I prefer Fern. He’s simply a better player. That doesn’t need to be a slant on Rodri. Imo Rodri looks huge and could shed a few pounds. His pace is a major issue in his position especially when he struggles under pressure. I’m not saying he’s gonna turn into Linford after a week on weight watchers but it all counts.

Its a tough call for Pep,probably his biggest conundrum.....Rodri on best form would be my choice, but i'm not sure he hasn't currently got a costly fuck up in him and we cant risk that.

Prime Dinho was twice the midfielder, but unfortunately that player is long gone.....so do we risk him being exposed?

I think we start with Dinho, and bring Rodri on when the legs invariably go.

Some ridiculous stuff posted on here the last 18 hours but I do have to admit that I don't trust him to stay fully concentrated for 90 minutes, even when he's playing well. He gives away possession in dangerous positions seemingly at least once a game. I know there's less margin for error than those who play ahead of him but I hope it's something he continues to improve on next season.

That post is exactly how I would have described John Stones a year ago, so we do at least know that these more intangible qualities like concentration and focus can actually be worked on and improved. Stones and Zinchenko have both come on leaps and bounds this year in terms of staying sharp and making good decisions for the full 90 every game

It’s a tough call Rodri being out of form at this stage of the season , do you put Fern in whose football brain is still up there with the best but whose legs have gone , Mason Mount led him a merry dance the last time we played , Lahoz would have him in the book first quarter which puts us under immense pressure. Tough call for Pep

Rodri has made a couple screw ups that have led to goals lately, and that's not good at all.

But I don't believe he's out of form. Literally everything else he's doing is the same as before.

A £60m+ signing is likely to be dropped for final and replaced by a 36 y.o who as it stands is out of contract. That’s quite damming on Rodri I think.
