The problem is that our players had been f*cked over from the first whistle. I think Rodder's reaction to losing the ball unfairly in his eyes was just a culmination of every other decision that had gone against us up to that point. Yes, he shouldn't have stopped running, but we all know what would have happened if he'd tackled back.

Not to mention the 5 other City players and Ederson who were between Trossard and the goal when he scored.

I mean he effectively has replaced Fernandinho, and we've won the league, won the Carabao, and are in the CL final. Fernandinho's played a big part of that, but Rodri has been a primary member of the team throughout.

The way some go on, it’s as if he is the integral part to all our success. We won have won the league with Delph at left back ffs.

Any success we have with Rodri in the team is down to the other ten players around him and the unbelievable coach managing him.

The next one will be “well Pep plays him week in week out so as he knows more than you, you are wrong”......who else have we got to play in central midfield? Tommy Doyle??

I don't look at it as the "important / hard decision" from the Pep`s perspective..

Of course Rodri will be upset if he doesn't play in the final, but we all know the reputation Fernandinho has in the dressing room - even doesn't considering the fact that he is the captain now..

And what's more important, compared to Aguero - Fernandinho is in perfect form to play this game, which means that he not only deserves to play the final, but also is an obvious decision..

It's not like making a present to someone, but choosing the one from two competitors. For example it's still debatable who should play LB -> Zinchy or Cancelo and I look at this DM position in the same way..

As for the Rodri - he is the best DM in the world and I don't take seriously comments written here. Guys.. this system is built around Rodri and what we have achieved so far - is because of him, I mean he is one of the main reasons..

So Rodri is the future for sure and I don't see any reason to deny that, but right now in this exact moment.. Fern is the captain who is needed to boost / strengthen the team morale during the "times of trouble" - which will certainly happen during the Final (well.. hopefully not but you should be prepared)..

P.S Pep has 5 substitutes - so every important player will be involved if needed..

Don’t agree with the grief he gets on here. Has had a great season on the whole.

Has a tendency to stop, flap his arms about and look aggrieved when he makes a fuck up though. Needs to cut that shit out and get on with it.
