It's not his shit pass that led to Brighton's first goal that pissed me off so much, it was his reaction he just stopped playing and looked to the sky, against Chelsea when he gave it away for the equaliser he moaned for a foul, that's just bad attitude and Pep should deal with that.

A £60m+ signing is likely to be dropped for final and replaced by a 36 y.o who as it stands is out of contract. That’s quite damming on Rodri I think.
It isn't. He is a squad player like every other man in the team. If you are not in form, you are dropped. It is as it should be.

He'll learn from that.

The problem is that our players had been f*cked over from the first whistle. I think Rodder's reaction to losing the ball unfairly in his eyes was just a culmination of every other decision that had gone against us up to that point. Yes, he shouldn't have stopped running, but we all know what would have happened if he'd tackled back.

That post is exactly how I would have described John Stones a year ago, so we do at least know that these more intangible qualities like concentration and focus can actually be worked on and improved. Stones and Zinchenko have both come on leaps and bounds this year in terms of staying sharp and making good decisions for the full 90 every game

Add Kyle Walker to that list. Had a couple of iffy moments but no huge brainfarts for a while!

touch wood!

I’m not disagreeing with the decision to drop him. I don’t think he has ever been up to replacing Ferna.

I mean he effectively has replaced Fernandinho, and we've won the league, won the Carabao, and are in the CL final. Fernandinho's played a big part of that, but Rodri has been a primary member of the team throughout.

Not really, "horses for courses", it depends on Pep's attitude to passing Chelsea out of the game or go head to head like the old days.
