Felt a bit sorry for Rodri today as he was often the only player in central midfield. If you look at our heat maps, Gündy and Bernardo were extremely advanced both in and out of possession, we almost looked like a 2-3-5 with the ball.

Cancelo too. That whole left side was pressing soooo high.

Think we would of done so much better in the CL final if he started. Mad how pep lost trust in him towards back end of last season.

I think fairly so. Rodris form dipped and i think it was pure fatigue. he was run in to the ground last season

I thought he was second only to Bernardo for MOTM.

I had him 3rd behind Bernardo and Eddy. Still, I agree. He was very good.

I loved how Fernandinho came on to “shore up” the midfield, then became our inside right! And, he should have bloody scored!!!

Pep loves midfielders, but he only seems to want one of them to actually play in midfield at a time!

After all, what’s a full back without a winger to mark when we have the ball, if not a midfielder?!

Looked like groin which could mean missing some big games.

needed help today in defensive midfield which KDB didn't provide. but overall decent. it's easy to blame your sole defensive midfielder when the opponent gets those passes into your third of the pitch so easily but no CDM in the world can cover all the ground. usually we actually have dias and stones to provide secondary assistance there
