Some of us ...we're convinced of his class...from day 1. His debut.
West ham away. We won 5nil on the opening day of the season.
To say that the lad was performing for the first time in the premier league, away from home..against a half decent WHU in front of 60 odd k fans.....his performance, imo.was ..Electric.
For those,with eyes to see....

And.i do remember the BBC,on the day we signed this cultivated powerhouse, trying their absolute best to take the piss..with comments like "a lot of money for a midfielder who rarely scores any goals"
Or words to that effect....

Oh,the BBC.. who didn't see,.....and didn't know.......... lol
I bet the journo who wrote that piece is pissing the bed tonite.
Whoever you are,dickhead...." get it right next time"........it's your job.
 
The guy has been a class act from the moment he walked through the door.

Low maintenance and does the hard, dirty work that most people don't appreciate.

Before that was decent performance on Wembley against the Liverpool in Community Shield..

He was class since the day one, I think problem was with the other midfield players and team in overall. Aging David Silva and etc. Now with Bernardo and Gundogan - he has been playing great and what's more important, midfield is playing as the whole unit
