Not to compare 2 great but Dihno at his best wasn't close. I know Rodders doesn't make crunching tackles, but he is multiple levels above at most things a DM does.
Rodri has become a fantastic world class player but "Dinho at his best wasn't close"? Give over. At his best Fernandinho was the best DM in the world, he carried Yaya in Yaya's last 2 seasons. Rodri is now regarded by many as the world's best DM and he probably is, but to say Fenandinho wasn't close to Rodri's standard is ridiculous. I think some have short memories on here.

Objectively, No he wasn't. I know 'we as fans of City's thought he was, or at least deemed him ' underrated for not being deemed 'the best in the world' but that was just our blue belief.

He was fantastic. World Class even... But almost no one outside of City thought he was in any year 'the best DM in the world' at any point in his illustrious career. Frankly, It was arguable often that he wasn't the best Brazilian DM at any point ,talk less best DM overall... We as City fans thought otherwise, but the World did not agree

Rodri's status as best DM in the world is NOT a 'City fans Only' claim... It is roundly accepted by most as true...

So, again, with all due respect to a Legend, of which Fernandihno is an undisputable one, I respectfully state, he wasn't close to Rodri.

When several ex players(pundits) said Fernandinho was the best DM in the world it wasn't just City fans saying that.

at Barca they were jealous when we bought him because they knew he would be the new Busquets...i even dare to say he`s already a more "complete" player than him

This unbeaten record is getting him the recognition he deserves. The focus is on him before and during every game now. Rodri has been the best CM in the world for two years now, and some pundits still overlook him in their team of the season. Incredible.

Fernandinho wasn't first choice for Brazil, Casemiro was widely regarded as the superior player (perhaps because he was winning the CL with Real).

A matter of opinion and I would say that Rodri is now as good as Fernandinho. Two great City players. Rodri has extra height and reach, Dinho a touch more quick.

I disagree, Fern at his prime was lauded by ex pros and opponents, they knew how good he was.
