His sending off really reminded me of when I was about 22 and wanted to get sent off, so I could leave early and go to a gig with my lass... and my punch also didn't connect, making it look stupid and I had to convince the ref I meant violent conduct. The victim deserved it. Got to the gig and the lass was happy. Missed 3 games after, sadly. So did Rodri go to see Busted?
Funnily enough your tale reminded me of when I was playing, few of us knew the midfielder of our opposition was shagging the ref's wife, 10 minutes in he wiped out one of our players getting a straight red.
Straight in his car and off he went, he knew where the ref was for the next 80 minutes.
Can't remember if we managed to take advantage of the extra man - unlikely as we were average on a good day.

Not ideal for the cup game midweek. Toon will be on a high from the 8-0 result and they'll see it as an opportunity to get a result at home.

You saying Rodri's giving Anthony Taylor's wife that good rod?

Damn, the one player we couldn't afford to lose. Will be interesting to see how we compensate for his absence. Opposition coaches will be targeting him now for the rest of the season to try and get another reaction.
Rodri is a bit too straight laced.
He needs to learn some tricks from Fernandinho.
I remember him getting similar kind of shit off some Chelsea player till they both went up for the same header and Ferna took the opportunity to elbow him in the head.
IIRC he cut his head open.
The Chelsea player, I can't remember who it was, didn't come near him for the rest of the match.

Was this the game where Costa wanted to pick a fight with Dinho but ran off when he saw Mangala approaching?
