I have no doubt Real Madrid will try to get Rodri. The next few months from now until the summer will be unbearable with rumors and press. Papa Perez will have all his buddies in the Spanish media spewing nonsense and noise.

Thankfully Rodri doesn't have social media and is an Atletico boy. Sporting wise he suits us more than Real Madrid as well. Also how many DMs does that team need? They paid top price for Camavinga and Tchouameni.

You should, because we are really not. AS has not been a reliable source regarding transfer targets for a while now; they lost their insider connections with the club and are now just desperate to stay relevant. We don't buy established players anymore unless they are free agents, and especially not from City who don't really need money, while we are quite prudent with our budget. We haven't bought a 29 year old since Hazard which is a transfer that still haunts Florentino. And there is already too much competition in midfield among players that are younger. Also, as mentioned before Rodri is a Guardiola guy and has Atletico heritage which is the worst possible combo for us. Everything indicates this is an absolutely baseless and ridiculouus rumour.

He’s going to be a legend at City ( if he isn’t already) & I’d hazard a guess, a shoe in for the next captain. He’s not going anywhere
Good to see him eased back into the season last night, subbed off in the 2nd half.
