16 | Rodri 2024/25

Mendy walked off against Palace from memory. Players usually walk off with bad, bad knee injuries for whatever reason.

Hope I’m wrong, be a massive fucking blow if he’s out for a long time.

You are correct. That’s the example I was saying.

In fact Mendy played on… and then came off 10 min later.

I'll take a few matches at this point.

Both out for a big chunk of the season? Say half to two-thirds? I think it would be asking more of the team than's ever been asked of previously to retain the title. And forget about the CL. That's my honest opinion.

Then all we need is Haaland out for about the same period, and we're back to aiming at the forty points to stay up.
;-)

When questions are asked of this team we more often than not deliver. We will be there or thereabouts in every comp because we have a squad and management team of winners.

By 'a few matches', I meant about four ;)

He watched the second half from the bench. There's not a chance they'd let him sit there if they suspected serious ligament damage. Just my two penneth.

Not always true. See my thread in off topic. I currently have a meniscus tear and I am awaiting surgery. I did it training and it was a full 24 hours before I knew something was very wrong.

However, I do want you to be correct, and that Rodri is going to be fine. Fingers crossed he is.

Not in the know or anything but would expect the club to send him for a scan tomorrow then take it from there. Would seem to be the logical thing to do..
Pointless sending him for a scan. Several posters have giving a full diagnosis and time scale for his return already. It's genius.
