I could never reward their disrespect.Although, I can’t see why he’d want to go to Madrid given their embarrassing charade at his big, Ballon d’Or night.

I don’t want to do hyperbole and overstate a small thing…but, at 0.24 in this video a ball is played through the lines of our midfield and that’s been an issue all season.
But Rodri anticipates it immediately and suffocates the bloke meaning he can’t get a proper run at Dias and the defence - which is an area we’ve struggled with since he got injured. It’s something so small but also something we’ve not really been doing all season.
That comp should be perfect for him to work on his fitness and match sharpness. Same for OscarDon't want to see him play against Fulham, certainly don't want to see him play in the Mickey Mouse Cup.
Put him in cotton wool and build him up more over the off season, a few friendlies should be enough. He's far too important for us to be risked.
That bit when the ball was bouncing in our half, everyone was diving in, and Rodri was considering launching himself.

Great for the home fans to show much Rodri is loved.I think people have been completely downplaying his importance to us. We can't attack with freedom because of the fear of losing the ball. With Rodri back we can go back to being more aggressive in attack because he gives everyone the confidence to do so - he will mop anything up if the opposition counter attack.
The evidence was there in the Arsenal game. Before his injury we had them camped in their final third and were peppering their goal. He gets injured and then they get back into the game (before the red card).
Need to ease him back in gently. Would maybe give him another 5-10 minutes against Fulham but wouldn't be surprised if he was out of the squad and the club slowly integrate him at the CWC.
I think he actually thought better of it and held back. Agree that you cannot play with fear; we have enough of that already. To be fair it's a good sign
The problem a lot of footballers who have leg breaks and ACL injuries is their mind is reluctant to put themselves into any potential danger ever again, and because of this they never fully get back to the player they once was.

Exactly my point, as well.Great for the home fans to show much Rodri is loved.
I wouldn't risk him at Fulham, he is too valuable and asset.
The CWC shouldn't be as aggressive as the average PL game, so use that competition to regain his full fitness.
He must become City's captain, as he is a beacon for the current squad and any new signings...
Can you imagine if that tackle on Nico had happened to Rodri, I’d have killed that Bournemouth player.I think he actually thought better of it and held back. Agree that you cannot play with fear; we have enough of that already.
Think you’d have been in a very long line. Can you imagine if that tackle on Nico had happened to Rodri, I’d have killed that Bournemouth player.
I would take solace from Gundogan. He had TWO serious knee injuries -- dislocated knee cap then torn ACL. He was a bit tentative for a while but got over it and became a City legend. He has done so much for City but that game vs Villa was worth a statue on its own. I am very confident Rodri will recover to be as good if not better than he wasTo be fair it's a good sign
