Same certainly not. Tends to effect players with explosive pace more though. Most seem to recover very well from those injuries these days

i dont really watch Sane. was he ever good enough to hold down a place at a top club though? . he was in and out and city due to attitude and application so perhaps the same issues at bayern

He definitely lost some pace post knee injury mate. Watched him loads of times since even when he’s had some very good games and seen defenders get back at him when he’d have been gone from them pre injury.

I don't watch enough of Sane to say whether the ACL significantly changed his game, but he was Bayern's third most used player last season, and looking at the minutes he plays, has been one of the most used players over the last few seasons. Whoscored had him rated as the third best player in the Bundesliga last season too.

I think that qualifies as holding down a place at a top club.

he was absolutely lightening. i think he would have burned walker even.
