Probably just improved posture from not lugging the rest of the team around on his back the last few monthsMaybe it's been a while since he was in the team but he looks slimmer.

Not a chance in hell. You don't return quickly from an ACL there's always a minimum recovery time to it. Next month will be what, 6 months on? I suppose he can technically be back in and around the cfa on a daily basis doing gym work etc if thats what is meant the same way a normal non-athlete would be doing physio around that period but back with a view to playing, absolutely not.
Not even as if there's anything to try and salvage this season anyway. Should take every opportunity to fully rest up get completely fit and ready to go next season.
He'd be a literal medical marvel if that's true.
Pretty sure it was a confirmed rupture.
Not a chance, if he is anywhere near fit enough at the start of next season it will be a huge positive.
This time next season if he is back to 90% of his ability it will be an incredible lazarus return.
This was a horrible injury, he can recover physically but the mental side in terms of trusting the knee will take a long time, just ask or look at players that have had similar.
It's March 1st.
He will feature in the club world cup in some capacity but don't see him being relied upon much until the champions league kicks up again in what September/October? That would give a full year recovery and even at that, he's still gonna need minutes to feel himself again. I'd be delighted if he was back to his best or best he can be, a year from now.
Someone who works at City on the football side told me in February that he's personally targeting a March return. He has been doing gym work for months, he's doing ball work now and hopes to be back in full training and then competing for games in the coming weeks. The word training is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. That falls under the exact category I said in the post you've quoted. There's still months to go from that point before he's thinking of playing.
Good to see nonetheless.
Feature at the end of may is possible, only a few weeks before cwc but I personally wouldn't risk it. You're asking him to get match fit for may when he's only just started solo training in march. He said himself he needs to get his quads stronger, really not worth pushing him and getting setbacks. Even bobb had a setback. I guess you could use the fa cup final as part of the match fit process but wouldn't want him being pushed in to being match fit for it or relied upon in any way.Rodri will be training with the team in several weeks and will feature in the last few games in the PL and hopefully the FA Cup final. He'll start games in the CWC.
I respect rodris desire but it's a big risk to push yourself that quickly.Someone who works at City on the football side told me in February that he's personally targeting a March return. Never to utd.you know what I mean hahah
Paul Lake was that good and FAR too good for City under swales. He would have been sold to Liverpool or United and won titles and become an England captain
That’s mental.Someone who works at City on the football side told me in February that he's personally targeting a March return. He has been doing gym work for months, he's doing ball work now and hopes to be back in full training and then competing for games in the coming weeks.

And that's not any time soon if you follow ACL recovery protocol. Wait why are you coming with that energy when you were giving time frames? Apply your own comment to yourself too then hahaPep and our medical staff are not dumb. Rodri will play when he's ready.
makes sense but if he's kicking a ball and doing gymn work there's not much difference tbf...but the experts will insist in the full 9months I reckonFor anyone who has issues with June being an appropriate time frame to see rodri back playing, here's the reason why, it's just sensible science backed reasoning. If he returns earlier he is taking more of a risk, it's as simple as that.
The typical 9-month timeframe for ACL recovery is considered optimal because it allows enough time for the graft to fully integrate with the surrounding bone ("ligamentization"), for the muscles supporting the knee to adequately strengthen, and to properly relearn sports-specific movements, significantly reducing the risk of reinjury by returning to high-impact activities too soon after surgery; research shows a significantly higher rate of re-injury for athletes returning to sports before 9 months post-surgery.
I'd assume that's a part of the building up phase, I'd be assuming 9 months is the point for competitive level exertion. I genuinely never realised it was mostly to do with the tendon becoming strong enough to replicate a ligament, makes sense because hearing a specific time frame never made sense before.makes sense but if he's kicking a ball and doing gymn work there's not much difference tbf...but the experts will insist in the full 9months I reckon
This makes most sense, you could feasibly try him in cup final which is late may but for what gain? He won't be rodri yet and it would be a sub.Rodri won't play this season. The club won't risk it.
Earliest I think we see him get minutes is the club world cup.
Wait why are you coming with that energy when you were giving time frames?
What a player feels is totally irrelevant to the facts. It's why so many reinjries occur, the athelte feels ok and relays that to the specialist, they train fine and look fine and in competition, something goes wrong. I hope you have the same energy for pep who said the exact same and warned against risking it. An ACL is an ACL, it takes 9 months to fully integrate, you can return before that if you want but you play a risky game.Because I listen to what Rodri says. He is being consulted by top specialists.
