Next season - PLEASE.
We've spent this season paying for not giving players adequate recovery time (alongside some recruitment issues).
Personally I'd much rather have a 100% Rodri in August than a 75% one in May who suffers a setback. Our medical team need looking at after some of the decisions in the last 18 months in my view

Man City boss Pep Guardiola on Rodri returning from injury: "Listen, it would be nice if he could play tomorrow but the wrong decision right now. He is behaving on the pitch really well but competition is different. We have to be sure he is fine before he is involved."
sounding positive about progress so far

Pep has spoken at length about players fighting through pain barriers to play. I am sure the medical team would have recommended against lots of decisions Pep makes.

If anything the medical team need to be praised and given a summer off for keeping together our squad for the last 4 years. Smashing record after record and winning trophy after trophy.

This seems more likely that Pep and even the players themselves is being stubborn to playing through match eventhough it will against the medical team wishes.

The prices to pay for the success and exceeding the fans expectations for the past 6 years.

I will be livid if the club risks him at the end of the season for that new Mickey Mouse tournament. Keep him in cotton wool until the start of next season thanks.

So when does he start to build up game fitness with no pre season ?

Great to see him celebrating with Pep last night. Have to laugh at the Real Madrid rumours, either that club or the outlets pushing those rumours are completely clueless.

Real have just spent months crying about Rodri winning the balon d'or, and even boycotted the ceremony in protest of crybaby Jr not getting the award, made more hilarious by he fact he's not anywhere near the nominations (or at least shouldn't be!) this year. Now they want to sign Rodri allegedly, and it's a condition for Xavi to take over from Ancelotti.

Well maybe they should have thought about that a bit earlier and conducted themselves with a bit more professionalism and respectful, as right now I'm quite sure the chances of Rodri going to Madrid are about as likely as the premier league's PSR rules being amended to actually reflect club profitability and sustainability, rather than permitting certain types of financial support for some clubs, yet not for others.

Guardiola’s comments on his fitness were very vague yesterday, no doubt deliberately so.

Not clear whether Rodri’s still training only individually, or whether he’s being involved with the team.

Guardiola said ‘every training session he does with us, he does well’, which given how Guardiola usually refers to the training sessions, suggests that he’s with the team.

Would be fantastic to see him have a run out before the end of the season.

Should be ready for America in June. I predicted we’ll see him coming off the bench in the last few games and those comments from Pep suggests that could be the case.

I think actually coming off the bench appearances will come in June at the CWC. He may have a few sub appearances just to go through the process of match days, warm ups etc but not feature in the last few games but really don't see them going against the standard protocol for ACLs.
