Next season - PLEASE.JUST IN: "Man City given huge boost as Rodri returns to training for first time since ACL injury.
(On facebook so decide for yourself etc)
sounding positive about progress so farMan City boss Pep Guardiola on Rodri returning from injury: "Listen, it would be nice if he could play tomorrow but the wrong decision right now. He is behaving on the pitch really well but competition is different. We have to be sure he is fine before he is involved."
Pep has spoken at length about players fighting through pain barriers to play. I am sure the medical team would have recommended against lots of decisions Pep makes. Our medical team need looking at after some of the decisions in the last 18 months in my view

If anything the medical team need to be praised and given a summer off for keeping together our squad for the last 4 years. Smashing record after record and winning trophy after trophy.
He is going nowhere, once he proves his fitness he will be offered an extension. When is his contract up?
So when does he start to build up game fitness with no pre season ?I will be livid if the club risks him at the end of the season for that new Mickey Mouse tournament. Keep him in cotton wool until the start of next season thanks.
Should be ready for America in June. I predicted we’ll see him coming off the bench in the last few games and those comments from Pep suggests that could be the case.Guardiola’s comments on his fitness were very vague yesterday, no doubt deliberately so.
Not clear whether Rodri’s still training only individually, or whether he’s being involved with the team.
Guardiola said ‘every training session he does with us, he does well’, which given how Guardiola usually refers to the training sessions, suggests that he’s with the team.
Would be fantastic to see him have a run out before the end of the season.
I think actually coming off the bench appearances will come in June at the CWC. He may have a few sub appearances just to go through the process of match days, warm ups etc but not feature in the last few games but really don't see them going against the standard protocol for ACLs.Should be ready for America in June. He has to prove his fitness first but once that is done the contract extension will be a formality, the guy loves our club, he's going nowhere. If true, wonderful way to start a Sunday morning.
No - they would give him a new deal regardlessHe has to prove his fitness first but once that is done the contract extension will be a formality, the guy loves our club, he's going nowhere.
