16 | Rodri 2025/26

I had major concerns about him playing 3 games in a week, it's no surprise to me he's now feeling discomfort, it's natural. He's put his knee under intense stress for a long period, he can't come away from that unscathed. Let's pray its nothing more than a reaction from over-exertion.

No reason not to give him an extended rest even if he is feeling okay. Week off, Nico to get a little run, pull out of international duty and we'll see him for Everton after a good 3 week break.

No point in risking him. Play him after International break now and he should not go to Intl team too during the break.

It took rodri to ask to come off to protect himself .
He will be probably get a few niggly injuries this season .
At times baldy can run players into the ground ,silva looks like he needs a rest already .
Rodri ,Ake & stones haven't got continous game time in them physically .
Play them then rest them .
Only way of trying to avoid niggles .
Baldy! Have some respect man.:-)

He’s playing too much. Shouldn’t have played vs arsenal, significance of the game be damned. The medical staff need to be charting a cautious path, and the team must trust their decisions 100%. Playing him at arsenal was putting football over health and that needs to stop.

It was the Napoli game, I said before that game that it would be insane to start him 3 times in a week.

Yeah I thought he would be rested that Napoli game and in for Arsenal. I thought it was a bit mad playing him in both. We can beat Napoli without him.

Obviously when he's fit and available, it's hard to resist playing him in the champions league and against one of the league contenders but we need to start being selective until he truly is 100% and even then still not run him into the ground

Peps statement 'You don't play, another one will play' - I feel that this is his attitude regarding injuries, as in he just forces them to play even if they're not 100% as that's how he's adjudges their attitude.

Probably why we were in the mess we were in last year but also probably we've won every trophy going.

Do hope Rodri is managed properly though, Nico is a fine understudy anyway.

I'd be surprised if he did.

He will start vs Brentford unless he plays and gets injured vs Monaco. Imo, there isn't a serious problem with his knee. What's happening is a normal knee reaction after him starting 3 games in 7 days for a first time since his injury.

If he travels with the team tomorrow, then his availability for Brentford is 99% guaranteed.

If he doesn’t travel, panic stations

I hope you're right Alex.
