Looks as if he has picked up straight from the cup final, frightening. Just hope Guardiola can get him to turn it down to 95% at some key moments and to release the ball as soon as possible, especially when running with it. There are times when he is running with it that you can sense the despairing challenge is coming, and those are the times when he has to be cute and play the ball away rather than take the hit and potential injury; happened at least twice today. Because he is strong and determined, he enjoys the tussle and likes to show who is boss, but there are also times to let the ball do the running.

Simply a magnificent footballer, that pass for Sterling's goal yesterday was sublime. No one better in world football who can thread that sort of defence splitting pass imo. Let's hope he can stay fit.

He’s that good that he makes us look like a one-man team, even though we know we’re not from us coping well without him.

Kevin De Bruyne: “What happened last year happens to everybody. I have been a professional for 11 years now and had one season where I had some injuries. But by the end of the year, I still played 32 games while a lot of players only do that every year.”

“I just get on with it. Now I feel good. I’m happy I could play a whole preseason. I’m doing well.”
