Kevin has had a proper holiday:

I did nothing for three weeks. I just wanted to be away from football,” the Belgian told Sky Sports .

“I had been playing for two years straight. I just wanted to enjoy myself a little bit.

“Physically you can be okay but I think it is more mentally. It is tough to go two years straight for everybody and not have a proper break. That is what happened the last two years.

“Now I felt for myself that is was necessary to just slow it down a little bit and go again in pre-season. I knew I would have enough time now to prepare myself for the season, so that’s what I decided to do.”[\quote]

A fully fit KDB is the equivalent of signing a £150m midfielder for the coming season , only watched a couple of pre-season games but even taking into account the poor opposition , boy did we miss him last season , and that is saying something when we mopped up all the domestic trophies , he is going to be instrumental in our Champs league campaign this season , he could well be the difference if he can avoid any more injuries.

God knows how he got MOM today. But to me he was one of the reasons City lost control of the game. He was struggling to get back, and he Gundo and Rodri was all over the place, to far from one another and no shape.

One of the worst games in City shirt. Miles away from being fit yet, was slow from the first minute. We'd score 3-4 in first half if that was the real KDB with those few balls he was getting behind their defense.

Nobody will want it more than KDB this year, nobody. Rusty, but the class is still evident.
