Something is physically wrong with Kev and it is affecting him mentally, robbing him of the drive and determination that makes him one of the greats. That he is being selected is understandable, for a while, as he has always needed to play himself in but it cannot go on. He is laboured, his first touch is off, his confidence seems lost and his passes are misplaced. For the first time, he needs to be dropped and earn back his place, creating an opportunity for Palmer and McAtee to step up to the plate; they won't get all the minutes, of course, but now is the time.
