He turned back the clock against Liverpool, he was outstanding and in the Madrid first leg, but last night he looked a shadow of himself again, that's the worry, the inconsistency.

A lot of our players can look poor after being rested for a game. They are used to playing every few days. Kev looked like a man who had thought about that match all week and couldn't get up to speed. Touch was poor and so was his passing.

Different circumstances but Gundogan came on and within a few moments had sliced them apart and got Bernie at them which led to the goal.

Kev just needed to run the game for us again and we may well have been out of sight.

He isn't a concern though, has turned it on in lots of games this season. Generally there's not a lot ahead of him for him to aim at. He need a striker ahead of him. Switching Foden for Gabby made his running option ahead of him more difficult. Foden prefers it to feet. It was an odd switch from Pep.

He is exhausted and it's not just him. We used to have multiple options on the bench which gave us the chance to rotate the team comfortably, now we just have a reliable first team and that's it! We spent a lot of money on one player when we could have used that to bring in at least 2 new quality players like what the dippers did with Jota and Diaz.

Still our best player. Seems to be carrying extra weight round his midriff these days. Another year slips by. His window for winning the CL is slowly closing. It’d be criminal if he doesn’t get one. Next year….

How does he look more tired after a rest? He was kept fresh for this game, there’s no way he should be failing to make the end of it. Very strange.

Oddly I think he’s one of those players which needs to be playing games to stay sharp, rests do him no favours. Pep seems to know that too given how many dead rubbers he’s played him in and how many times he’s kept on when a game is won.

Wasn't great but he's been carrying us for weeks so he was bound to have an off day at some point.

I called it, same old same old, his relentless game time in PL was meant to come back and bite us toward the end of season. Pep should have rested him more often.

unfortunately hardly any chances were falling for his feet apart from very first header last week and some long shots really but those were not big chances he just took the long shot option.

he probably is our best finisher in high pressure situations but no chances for him yesterday. he needs a top finisher alongside him who he can feed. maybe not even one but two.

Far too much is expected of him in every single game, sometimes it feels as though if he doesn't perform the team doesn't. That's a lot of responsibility for one player to carry. We need to have that shared amongst other members of the team. Think I remember an interview with him somewhere when he said it was easier playing with David Silva as there was someone to share the workload with.

Bernardo was miles better than him on the night?!

Think he gets off a bit lightly, risked himself for Belgium so Pep had to carefully manage him through the season as he's mostly shuffled about like someone twice his age. Last night was reminiscent of his clumsy displays against Lyon and Chelsea so maybe you can't put it all down to the ankle. Not sure how a world class mid lets the ball roll under/past his foot so often. Moving forward we'd be more stable in big games with a natural centre mid helping Rodri and Silva. I Don't expect that to happen with the long contract we gave him, maybe if we sign Haarland he'll drag the line back and give De Bruyne more space and time to control the ball facing towards goal.

Also not sure what his problem with Mahrez is, in the time he was on only passed I think twice to the right when there was no other option. Bernardo takes his position when he went off and immediately sets up Mahrez to score.
