Gundogan will either restore his Premier League mojo or he won't . Possibly as in the case of KdB the magic is sill there but misfiring as the years take their toll.
You need to stick to thorPeople needs to accept Gundogan is past his prime. He isnt 24 anymore, he turns 34 in 3 weeks.

He was good in the first few games but thought he was really poor against Spain, he was hooked after 55 minutes.Maybe.
On the other had, Gundo was great in the Euros. I think it was just an off night for him.
Was Gundo ever suited to "midfield battles or chasing opponents who attack in behind him"?Gundo is great when we are controlling the game, but he is no longer suited to midfield battles or chasing opponents who attack in behind him. That’s exactly how Brentford pulled us apart in the first half a few weeks ago. They overloaded our left and had their #24 just walk in behind Gundo, and he was on every time.
He’ll play his part this season, and deliver on occasion, but he can not be a Starting XI player for many games this season.
Without Rodri, he might need to show much more defensive capability! Was Gundo ever suited to "midfield battles or chasing opponents who attack in behind him"?
For me, Gundo has always been mostly a deep-lying mid, adept at running the game. Defense has never been his forte.
