Nurtring talent? Foden is the prime example of what could happen.
Yeah, and who else out of the dozens of EDS products?
Take your Pep blinkers off and name those who have prospered elsewhere.

The question is why, why has Foden developed and nobody else. What did Pep see in Foden or say to him to convince him he had a future, why hasn’t he seen it in others.Yeah, and who else out of the dozens of EDS products?

Because Foden couldn’t be sidelined any longer, no matter how adverse you are to bringing in youngsters. Helped by being malleable so he could be controlled 100%.The question is why, why has Foden developed and nobody else. I’d say but for Palmer he was the only one really good enough to have prospered, and to be fair I didn’t see it in Palmer either and I don’t think even Chelsea quite saw the levels he has got to.
The question isn’t which of those that left would get into the team now, it’s which ones would have got into the record breaking trophy winning teams of the last few years, because thats the level we are looking at getting back to.

He means it too. Always a gentleman and always humble. That is really nice , he is always good with words , i think he is an adopted bert now
If they prove they are good enough they will get plenty of opportunties. Take off your Cole Palmer'sYeah, and who else out of the dozens of EDS products?

At the risk of sounding horrible, I think we'd have had a better record without him. We'd have been forced to Play O'Reilly or Wright and let them grow.I dread to think where we would be without Gundo this season. We would be even more screwed.
Im not sure mate, it would have been a big ask for a kid to step in every three days and play what i consider the most demanding role in football(being a cdm in a guardiola team), to do it while we are so disjointed and running so low on confidence could have ruined either of them. Look at Simpson Pusey his confidence is abs shot and he is a nervous wreck despite not having to play much. I would suspect our results would have been much much worse without gundo(i havent checked but someone mentioned we have conceded a load of goals once he goes off, the derby being one, he went off at 3up against feynoord too top of my head). It would have been valuable experience for wright or o reilly but not sure we would have gained much else.At the risk of sounding horrible, I think we'd have had a better record without him. We'd have been forced to Play O'Reilly or Wright and let them grow.
For me it all is a bit hindsight. At the risk of sounding horrible, I think we'd have had a better record without him. We'd have been forced to Play O'Reilly or Wright and let them grow.

I think most fans were happy to bring him back without thinking about it.
But in hindsight we now realize, wait, he is really old, and this clearly meant upper management didnt plan out signings very well or thought of the youth at all.
Nothing about Gundogan of course, I kind of hope after this season he realizes that he should go into managing a bit more.
Maybe he and Kev (both have their badges) can manage our youth teams?
Same old nonsense. Clubs across Europe give chances to kids.look at Barcelona. Yes the club is in shambles but they trust them. DM is not demanding Role only at city.players will learn when given opportunity in tough times. That is when character are tested.
