Played well enough just didn't do anything standout. The largely unnoticed parts of his game were top notch, constantly on for the pass to beat their press and regularly played that lovely back to goal first time right footed spin pass out wide to free us up.

Started well and was a big part of us dominating the first 20 mins.
Struggled second half with no space. Should have been deeper, looking for the killer pass / threatening to shoot from 20-25 yards. No need for it to be Walker, Dias, Akanji and Kovacic for so long.

Completely lost as to why he wasn't on the edge of the box trying to dictate the attacks

I honestly thought I was going insane watching him stood in the box, whilst our arguably worst ball playing defenders were trying to orchestrate attacks
Absolutely. It should have been him taking long range shots from outside the box instead of Dias who was doing my head in

Should have been stationed on the outside of the box rather than in it. Was always trying to find space, but we should have looked to get our defenders in the box, blocking Arsenal defenders whilst our creative players were outside it looking to get shots away.

Him and Phil didn't grasp the game and push Dias and Akanji out of the way. He shouldn't have taken more responsibility on the edge of their box.

Yeah. He should have been right where Kovacic was.
Think this was one of Pep's biggest mistakes yesterday.
Kova and Dias/Walker/Akanji were tasked with unlocking the Arsenal defence.
Gundo should have come out of the box to take on the job, but Pep seems to prohibit players changing anything.
Phil & Jack did play deeper (outside the box) but poor old Gundo hardly touched the ball, second half...

Needs to start converting some of the chances falling his way. Came close yesterday and had two good chances vs Brentford but needs to start finding the net. Quality still looks to be there and he's still getting into the right areas.

Early days yet. PL is much faster pace than La Liga so will take a bit of re-adjustment. But he knows what he has to do and he looks in decent shape. He will soon be back at the level we know he has.

Sadly, I was screaming this about Foden, Gundo and Bernardo all

In that situation. Dias should immediately become a 2nd striker and let the technical players dictate. The only defender I wanted to see touching the ball was Gvardiol. The others should really limit their touches severely.

Barcelona may just have saved us. If it was not for them, Gundo wouldn't be here, we probably wouldn't sign another 6/8, and we would be screwed. Gundogan might be our most important asset after Rodri's injury. Another season for him to become even a biger legend than he already is.

And I didn't want him to come back thinking it would be unkind to have him in a bit part role.

Needs a goal or good assist or something to spark him into life

Definitely not offering enough right now but I'm sure it'll come.
