It’s a shame for him that he is competing for a start with the best striker in the world. Hopefully he gets to start games with Haaland, I think they would work well together.
And the two games where he might have been expected to score a hatful both had red cards!

I really rate him but I'm not entirely sure it would to a certain extent, he looks effective in the middle when he spins his man, can see in his game that he is a central striker that likes to drag players where they want to go and with Peps formation he would be used on the wing where I think the main part of his game would be limited.... only my opinion, obviously would love it if it did work out

Love the fact that he us lethal in front of goal

Hasn't had many chances in front of goal, but when he does he really knows where the net it

I would like to see us play like we did in the 2nd half against Sevilla a bit more often. I think if we get the width from the full backs instead of the forwards, we could have Foden and Alvarez playing more inside and closer to Haaland.

Going to be a cracking player, we need to find a way of ensuring he gets plenty of game time.

He did remind me of Aguero with that goal, and I think it's the sheer fucking confidence that did it. He knew that with enough power he would score. Lots of our forwards over the last few years would have overthought it, tried to squeeze it in between the keeper and the post and gone wide. Alvarez just smashed it.

I was overly harsh on him in recent appearances, I think he just needs to be playing with our strongest team to be at his best, which is hardly a surprise.

One chance that was more of a half chance really and buried it. Couldn't ask for more from him and put in a shift and a half.

Not sure why people thought he was slow when City signed him. Nonetheless, he’s another warrior. Leaves everything on the pitch. Can smash them with either foot.

These type of shots are typical from Julian, he scored many goals like this playing for River Plate, what's so great about him is that the GK will never know what to expect from his shots, whether it's with his right or left foot.
